Matt Winter
Matt Winter was born and raised in Overland Park, KS. At the young age of 11, Matt began mowing lawns for his neighbors and discovered his passion for working in the outdoors. While in High School, Matt and his friend Craig worked together mowing up to 60 lawns per week after school and on the weekends. While in College Matt went out on his own, started hiring employees, and formed Matt’s Lawn Care. Matt’s Lawn Care also started offering landscaping and fertilizing services. After college Matt decided to continue doing what he loved and what he knew by turning Matt’s Lawn Care into MW Lawn & Landscape, INC. in 2000. Since 2000, MW Lawn & Landscape, INC. has grown from 5 employees to over 40 and continues to grow every year.
Nicole Winter
Nicole Winter was born and raised in the Kansas City Area and has a BA from Ottawa University. Nicole began her career in Property Management spending 6 of the years as a Property Manager. Having been a Property Manager, Nicole knows the stresses and expectations of running a commercial property along with working within a budget. Nicole has been working with MW Lawn & Landscape, INC. since 2005.
Jay Huke
Jay Huke, A Kansas City native, devoted to Royals and chiefs, lover of hot sauce, and is overall just a down-to-earth family guy, got started in the golf course industry. He began with golf course maintenance in high school, and throughout his time spent in college. After college he moved into residential maintenance and sales, where he was a Lawn Route Manager–Jay even owned his own company for several years!
After being in the Green Industry for over 20 years, Jay joined MW Lawn & Landscape in late 2018. He brought an array of Green Industry experience, and is MW’s very own fertilizer guru! He builds his life around his family, dedication to customer relationships, meanwhile always trying to have a good time while balancing the two!
Blaine York
Born and raised in Talladega, AL Blaine grew up going to auburn football games which led to his love for the college town and university.
Blaine graduated from Auburn with a bachelors in horticulture and worked for 4 years in the landscape maintenance industry in addition to 1 year in the landscape construction/install industry.
Blaine is a huge college football fan and his endeavors in Kansas City have also led to a profound love for the NFL. His most recent move to Kansas City was for his wife of 3 years so that she could pursue her dreams in the medical field.
Susan Fears
Susan grew up in Prairie Village and later graduated from Kansas State University. Susan started at MW in September 2019 as an office administrator, and now takes care of accounts payable and receivable. After 25+ years employed in Marketing and Design, this is refreshing new territory. She provides valuable customer service and is gaining full knowledge of the operations at MW Lawn. She is excited to grow into a vital member of the team.
Matt Stewart
Matt Stewart was born in Salina Kansas and has been in the Lawn Maintenance Industry for 24 years. He began working at a Turf Farm in 1998 and then moved onto being a Fertilizer Technician. Matt is also a computer/software tech. Matt has been married for 25 years, has 3 kids and 2 grandkids. Above all, he loves to spend time with his family.
Craig Lofquest
Born and raised in the Kansas City area, growing up in Olathe, KS. Craig has worked in the lawn and landscape industry for 20 years. Craig is married and has two young boys and enjoys spending time with his family. When he is not busy at their weekend sporting events, he loves to spend time outdoors. These interests include swimming, fishing, and camping or just having family and friends over for a barbecue. Craig joined the MW Lawn & Landscape team in 2017 and has vast experience in Construction, Operations, Maintenance Production, and Account Management of the Green Industry. Craig has brought his passion for the industry along with great communication and knowledge of the industry to the team at MW.
Todd Stremsterfer
Todd Stremsterfer has recently joined the team at MW Lawn & Landscape, INC. but has been in the industry for over 15 years. He enjoys interacting with homeowners and helping them make they’re curb appeal Eye-Popping and Beautiful. After receiving his degree in Horticulture/Landscape Design in 2007, Todd and his wife moved to Naples, Florida. There they began their Landscape journey in a very landscape driven environment. It was also there that they started a family and now have two lovely daughters. In 2018, they decided to move back to the Midwest to be closer to both families.
